Monika Cera M.Sc.
Research Assistant
In September 2023, Monika began her work as a research assistant (PhD) at the Institute of Sustainability in Civil Engineering. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from RWTH Aachen University, followed by a Master’s degree in Sustainable Management – Water and Energy from the same institution. As part of her academic pursuits, Monika spent a semester abroad at the Polytechnic University of Milan, focusing on the topic of energy management. For her Master’s thesis, she conducted a Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) of various phosphorus recovery technologies from sewage sludge in Germany, utilizing the PSILCA database. Alongside her academic journey, Monika gained valuable experience by working in a prominent construction management company where she was involved in the consultation, planning, and project management of large-scale construction and development projects in Germany.
