Research Assistant
Alexandra Weniger has been working as a PhD student at the Institute for Sustainability in Civil Engineering since November 2024.
She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Civil Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University with a focus on construction methods and sustainable construction. During her studies she gained work experience in the field of sustainability assessments as a student assistant and project worker at INaB and as a student assistant at ResScore GmbH. In addition, she has worked abroad at the Fraunhofer Project Centre at the Dublin City University. For her Master’s thesis, she conducted a comparative materiality assessment of the potential social impacts of buildings in Indonesia and Germany. Alexandra’s current research focuses on sustainability assessment in civil engineering, with a focus on the environmental and social sustainability assessment of carbon reinforced concrete.
