In the BMW X3 30e, the battery is recharged by braking. Conventional vehicles, on the other hand, normally only generate heat and brake abrasion. By activating electric driving mode, users can actively contribute to reducing emissions and traffic noise in cities.
Thanks to the intelligently controlled interaction of the two drive systems, average fuel consumption is reduced to between 2.1 and 2.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The corresponding CO2 emissions range from 49 to 54 grams per kilometer. The combined power consumption of the new BMW X3 xDrive30e is between 16.4 and 17.2 kWh per 100 kilometers. Its high-voltage lithium-ion storage system with the latest battery cell technology enables purely electric mobility with a range of 51 to 55 kilometers.
