Since June 2025, Alejandra has been working as a research assistant at the Institute for Sustainability in Civil Engineering (INaB) at RWTH Aachen University. She completed her Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in urban water management. During her studies, she had the opportunity to spend two semesters abroad: at the Universitat Politècnica de València, deepening her knowledge of water treatment, and at the Politecnico di Milano, focusing on sustainability.
In her master’s thesis, carried out within the framework of the European Union’s StopUP project, she conducted a Life Cycle Assessment of innovative nature-based technologies for the treatment of combined sewer and urban stormwater. Her research interests include environmental impact assessment, resource efficiency and the integration of nature-based solutions into water infrastructure.
