Research Assistant
Since November 2019 Jana Backes works as a research assistant (PhD) at the Institute for Sustainability in Civil Engineering. During her studies in International Business Administration (dual studies in cooperation with BASF SE, Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society) and Sustainable Resource Management (Technical University of Munich) she gathered work experience in industry (BASF SE), science (TUM) and policy (BMU, PTJ). In 2012, in the context of a youth science competition (Jugend forscht), she got in touch for the first time with the topic of sustainability and climate change. After completing her master’s degree, she gained one year of practical experience as (production-) controller at BASF SE and worked, among other things, on ideas for CO2-controlling.
