External Ph.D. Student
Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Bianca Weber-Lewerenz, Civil Engineer, studied in Constance, Mainz and Stellenbosch, South Africa. Since 2007, she works as a freelancing consultant in Germany and abroad in large projects, Turnaround and Claim Management. From 2007-2014 she lived and worked in Beijing, China. Since 2019 she researches and shapes a Corporate Responsible Digitization (CDR) in the Construction Industry. With the “Excellence initiative for Sustainable, Human-Led AI in Construction“, which she founded in 2020, she brings the Construction Industry into the general debate on digital transformation and a trustworthy, sustainable AI.
For her research work she cooperates with the INaB at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the RWTH Aachen University.
She publishes in scientific journals and conference papers. As a speaker, she bridges the gap between science and business for the design of digital change in construction. She volunteers as a MINT mentor and works with the top women entrepreneurs in Baden-Württemberg. She is a member of Women in AI & Robotics, and Women in AI Ethics.
